CRYSTALS

CRYSTALS is an ongoing series of motion pieces that highlight the detail, intricacies, and the uniqueness of some of the lesser known crystalline minerals of the world. Each piece is inspired and styled from different genres of media such as the elegance of watch and jewelry ads.

Current Lineup:

Quartz
Bismuth
Onyx (in the works)

TIMELESS QUARTZ

Timeless Quartz - Quartz is crystalline and composed of silicon dioxide, or silica. When pressure is applied to a quartz crystal, it emits a small electrical charge. A quartz crystal oscillates at predictable intervals when an electrical charge is applied. Quartz clocks and watches make use of a peculiar trait of quartz crystals.

STACKED BISMUTH

Bismuth crystals form from a brittle, silvery-pink metal that, when melted and allowed to solidify, creates beautiful, iridescent crystals with a unique stair-step pattern due to its rapid cooling at the edges, often displaying a rainbow of colors depending on the oxide layer thickness on its surface.

Another entry of the Crystal series jam-packed with that lovely crusty VHS quality.
